Prof. Wang Jun

Prof. Wang Jun, President of Peking University People's Hospital, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Department of Medicine and Health, Peking University Boya Chair Professor and doctoral supervisor. For more than 30 years, he has been working in the front line of clinical practice, engaged in minimally invasive chest surgery and lung cancer diagnosis and treatment research. In 1997, he won the Graham Fellowship, the highest youth award in the international thoracic and cardiothoracic surgery field (only one person in the world every year), and has studied and worked in the University of Chicago, Massachusetts General Hospital, Mayo Medical Center and other units.

The Thoracic Surgery Department of Peking University People's Hospital was established in 1952. It took the lead in carrying out thoracoscopic surgery in China, established the thoracoscopic technology system and "Wang's technology" for lung cancer surgery, and has distinctive features in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, thymoma, emphysema, hand sweating, esophageal cancer, and bullae , ranking the international leading level. The purpose of the department to formulate medical services is "three best": to provide each patient with the best treatment plan, the best treatment method, and the most comprehensive medical care currently recognized internationally.
